Finding the Best Christmas Toy

Yes, it is almost Christmas again and that means toys and gifts for the kids. This can be can be a daunting experience for every gift giver. Shopping for your husband, wife, relatives, or friends is usually not to difficult a task as you pretty much have a good idea as to what they need or would like or even easier you can just ask them. My husband and I have learned this lesson well as I still have a portable garden waterfall still in the box from 5 years ago, LOL.
Now choosing a toy for the children is a completely different matter. Parents trying to find the best toy for their youngster often are perplexed by the sheer number of available toys on the market. The television toy advertisements this time of year are really no help at all, they just seem to complicate things more.
Have you spent a ton of time trying to figure out would be best Christmas toy for your little girl or boy. I know we want to give them something that is special to them, something that will put a smile on their faces on Christmas morning.
Have you ever thought of just getting them in a conversation about toys in general and what they think are cool toys and what toys they think are dumb. This has always worked for me, you just have to have this discussion far enough away from Christmas that they hopefully will not remember it and catch on to your ploy.
I talk to them about true meaning of Christmas and that it is a time of thanks and giving. We get them involved in our yearly contribution to the children of fallen soldiers and at the same time get their opinion on what would be a great toy for these kids, I get some good toy idea input from this.
Once I get my potential list of toys together I hit the internet. This has proven to be so much better than dealing with the crowds in the stores, It is really quite painless, you just have to be on top of your game and do this early enough so that if there are any delivery problems you have time to spare. One thing I have figured out is not to read these lists of the 10 best toys for the coming Christmas year. One childs best toy is another childs dumb toy.
Picking out the best Christmas toy is really not as hard as it seems, just remember do a little, what I call, conversation investigation and I am sure you will choose the right gifts that will brighten up their lives on Christmas day. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
